How to add mods from Modrinth and CurseForge to your modpack

You add mods right in the dashboard: open your modpack, find a mod in the built-in Modrinth or CurseForge search and click Add — required library dependencies come along automatically. The results show only versions compatible with your loader and Minecraft version. You can also upload your own .jar files or a ready-made modpack archive.

No more downloading .jar files by hand and hunting for dependencies. The Modrinth and CurseForge catalogs are built into the dashboard: search for a mod, click Add, and its library dependencies come along on their own. You can also upload your own files or import an entire modpack archive.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Create or open a modpack

Set the Minecraft version and loader (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, Quilt) — mod compatibility depends on them.

In the built-in Modrinth/CurseForge search, type the name and pick the right version for your loader and game version.

  3. 3

    Add it — dependencies included

Click Add. Required library dependencies are pulled in automatically so the mod works.

  4. 4

Frequently asked questions

Do catalog mods count against the modpack size limit?

No. Mods added from Modrinth/CurseForge don't use up your size limit — it only counts the files you upload yourself.

What if a mod has dependencies?

Spixy adds the required libraries automatically when you add the mod.

Can I import a ready-made modpack?

Yes, importing a modpack archive is supported — the modpack is built from its contents.

Modpacks are the heart of Spixy: assemble your set of mods, link a server, brand the launcher, and hand it to players with over-the-air auto-updates.
